The Keyboard

–The arrangement of the keyboard into 2 rows of white and black keys (the black keys in groups of two and three) was standardized by the 15th century.

P/S: On many older instruments, like harpsichords and organs, the colours are reversed, simply because ebony was more readily available than ivory.
