Khai, Jaz and Edmund(Toh) conduct a workshop in Penang last weekend in Penang! Since Ladan is here in Malaysia again, we had this roadtrip with Khai to Penang this time!
Thanks to David and Zamri for their help, they arranged for us the Hotel and workshop room in Vistana Hotel! Even though we went on the Public holiday and weekend, but luckily it is nearby a small shopping mall that we can walk around and get some food there!
The next day, Ladan and I joined the Hotel Limo Tour service! Our driver, Mr.Wan is a really nice man, he show us around, and told us lots of stories about this City!
We first check out the Toy Museum! The Museum has over 100,000 toys, dolls and others fun collectibles.

Later on, Mr.Wan is so proud of 1 of the fast food outlet! He told us that, Penang has the most beautiful KFC outlet in the whole Malaysia! — It is really beautiful! You can have your fried chicken in this luxury mansion!

The Chocolate Boutique, another mansion!

Penang is very different from other state, it is a place that is full of Chinese, Malay, Indian, British heritage building?

We never let go of the chance to shop in the biggest shopping mall, Queensbay Mall in Penang also! And also had Fish spa in the shopping mall! The Fish spa centre was in the highest floor on the mall, and the staff thought Ladan and I were students, and keep insist want to give us special rate for fish spa! So happy

We shopping till the shops closed and “dabao” food back to hotel to eat!
Ladan bought her favourite Sashimi, and after she taste her 1st piece, she wanted it cooler a bit, so wanted to put in the freezer about 5 minutes time.
Unfortunately, she totally forgot about this, after we finished all the food, her sashimi still in the freezer…. till the day we left….. haha!
Among all the heritage buildings, Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, aka Blue Mansion was strongly recommended by Mr.Wan! We manage to visit there before we left Penang! The most unique feature of this Chinese courtyard mansion is its original indigo-blue paint. It has 38 rooms, 5 granite-paved courtyards, 7 staircases & 220 vernacular timber louvre windows. The design and structural placement of this dwelling was built to the best Feng Shui!

The mansion was the set of a French movie- “Indochine”. It won Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film and also Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Film.
Blue Mansion open daily only at 11am & 3pm to public! Photo shooting is not allow in the mansion.
It also open to stay in with a night about RM350!
But to someone timid like me, it’s kinda haunted to stay! heehee!!
Its indeed a fun trip! Thanks Zamri and David for your hospitality!
