Life is all about sharing!!!

Archive for the ‘Self-improvement’ Category

After getting married for almost 2 years, Becoming a Godly wife, is still my biggest concern and struggle! Innocent girls like me often become frustrated by our partner, but the fact is,  Neither Husband Charming nor Wife Charming exists in this world, I will have arguments with my husband and we will disappoint one other at some point in time, so the ‘happily ever after’ dream seems like a fairy tale nowadays….

The key is all about how well  I understand myself, my partner, our current situation and our vision in this marriage. So that through the greatest form of LOVE, we can truly accept each other for who they really are, and create a supportive and loving environment for our loved ones.

This year couple camp once again let Khai and I, our couple brothers & sisters understand our faith in Christ and also check out our current marriage situation! And through many sharings from couples who had been married for 10-30 years, we foresee our future problems as time fly, things change and as people change as well! There’s no way to be perfect all the time! But that’s not going to scare us and fear of our marriage life, but instead, build us up to be a better couple and empower other married couples through our lives!

I’m so glad that we have lots of supportive Brothers & Sisters in Christ who love us, care for us and pray for us! Even thought we meet up quite often, having fun with great friends is never too much! We really enjoy the highlight of the program – Wild wild West night and our group performance on that night (“The Wizard of Cow”??) are now 1 of the unforgettable experiences in my life!

And of course, lots and lots of juicy secrets among every couple …….

Hee haw !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Asiaworks Journey

I have to admit that, before I joined AsiaWorks, i had a bad impression about the program! Peng Joon was “brain washing” poor Khai, but he proved his sincerity by quitting his smoking habit of 8 years as a result of this program… surely it must be something incredible!

Indeed, it was really an overwhelming experience! A feeling that I just can’t describe!

It’s was a really an unforgettable experience! To be continued……… (In the leadership program)..

You have a Millionaire Mind!~Hi5!!

Last weekend was a mind blowing weekend!

Khai and his brothers, and many of our friends registered themselves to this Millionaire Mind Intensive Seminar in The Mines! So I also called Pooiling along, because she been hanging out with too many negative friends lately, its time to recharge!

In life, I believe anyone can be our mentor even in a small small setting! But when it comes to success, wealth management, and overcome our emotional baggages, it takes serious effort to deal with it! T.Harv Eker and his team did a great job to convey us the importance of managing our life!

They have this Arrow Breaking Exercise! Put the arrow on the soft spot of our throat, and you push your neck towards it, but you have to walk in front to break the arrow! The arrow is just like the obstacles in our life! True or True?

image

Many obstacles are caused by our fear! In order to overcome our fear, we just have to recognize the fears, understanding the root of our fears, and walk through it! You will realise most of them is actually our own imagination! Yes or Yes?

Lets start our jars system now, and be the warrior in our life! Now, tell the person next to you :“ YOU HAVE A MILLIONAIRE MIND!~~image ” Heehee!!

Couple Camp

DSC01164 Khai and I attended the Couple Camp organized by the church right after our trip to Singapore.

Being a Godly wife is really a big challenge, I need to work very, very hard to please my husband, as the bible commands. It is a life time homework that I need to study and learn very hard!

Heehee!!! ^^

Plastic bottle

My house has lots of plastic boxes and plastic bottles. Normally we use it to keep the leftover food and for storing water. All housewives like me should be aware of the triangle symbol on the bottom with a number inside .

Do you know what the number stands for?
Did you guess that it’s just for recycling?
Then you are WRONG !!!!!!
THE NUMBER TELLS YOU  THE CHEMICAL MAKE UP OF THE PLASTIC…..

The Plastic Coding System

plastic
1)    Polyethylene terephalate (PET)
2)    High density polyethylene (HDPE)
3)    Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) or Plasticised polyvinyl chloride (PPVC)
4)    Low density polyethylene LDPE
5)    Polypropylene (PP)
6)    Polystyrene (PS) or Expandable polystyrene (EPS)
7)    Other, including nylon and acrylic

What you aren’t told is that many of the plastics used are toxic and the chemicals used to create a plastic can leach out of the plastic and into the food / drink.
Think about it, how many times have you or a friend said ‘I don’t like this, it taste like the plastic bottle ….. ‘
THAT’S BECAUSE YOU ARE TASTING THE PLASTIC
The WORST ONES are Nos: 3, 6, and 7 !!!
DO NOT USE THESE NUMBERS if stated at the bottom of the bottle) !!!
Check out this chart that breaks down the plastic, its uses and chemical makeup
(I find #7 a little scary)

plascod3

Microwaving plastic containers affects the chemical make up of the plastic, allowing the chemical substances to destabilize and leach out more quickly into the food you are reheating. You can check out this article that ran in the Wall Street Journal:

EVEN one of my favorite ‘RUMOR DEBUNKING’ websites,URBANLEGENDS.ABOUT.COM
Lists the information as: overblown with a grain of TRUTH
READ the FULL 3 pages of the article!

If we have the choice, maybe we should really AVOID re-using plastic bottles RIGHT AWAY to save our health and our earth!

The Law of the Garbage Truck…..

Few days ago, I had received a very meaningful email from my friend Kelly!

The Law of the Garbage Truck…..

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head
around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was really friendly.

So I asked, ‘Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’ This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call ‘The Law of the Garbage Truck.’

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the street.

The bottom line is that successful people don’t let garbage trucks take over their day.

Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so…

‘Love the people who treat you right. Forgive the ones who don’t.’

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent
how you take it!
