Super craving for Iranian Cuisine!

If i have to choose the greatest impact that Ladan & Maryam bring to my life beside their friendship, i would say is Iranian Cuisine! Haha!

Cooking is the No.1 skill that all Iranian ladies have to learn before they get married. My friend Maryam was well taught in cooking by her mum since she was young. Look at the food on the table, all prepare by Maryam alone in a dinner party at their home! She is great rite?

Not only that, now i can go to any Iranian restaurant to order food by myself even if the menu was not written in English! ~~

Thanks to my dearest friends.

  • Khai is so proud of his iron stomach! He can eat 5 burgers, and each burger can finish in 2 minutes. But luck was not on his side today…

  • Fukuya Authentic Japanese Cuisine

Khai, Ladan and I are big fans of Japanese Food!  Khai decided to raise our bar higher to another premium Japanese Restaurant – Fukuya!

The restaurant’s specialty is the Kaiseki menu – the beautiful setting becomes more than just that – it serves as the perfect complement to such gastronomical sophistication.

The environment is really nice, even the valet parking service is very thoughtful! Too bad it’s heavily raining when we arrived, next time we will visit on a sunny day :)

  • Forrest Gump mania

If you like the Movie -”Forrest Gump”, then you will definitely love this restaurant!

BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP CO has finally open in Malaysia. The 1st Branch is at The Street in The Curve.

Just for your information, BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP CO is a chain of seafood restaurants inspired by the 1994 film Forrest Gump. Launched in 1996 by Viacom Consumer Products (part of Viacom, which also owns Paramount Pictures, the distributor of Forrest Gump) and the Rusty Pelican Company, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. became the first theme restaurant inspired by a film. The restaurant is named after the movie’s main characters Benjamin Bufford “Bubba” Blue and Forrest Gump, who was inspired to go into the shrimping business by Bubba.

Khai and I first discovered this restaurant was on our registration for marriage anniversary day (07/07)! [P/S: there is many anniversary day, so I have to mention specifically, HAHA!!]

As you can see from the photos, the deco is just like what Bubba mentioned in the movie. This is his dream restaurant!

Look at what Khai is doing??!

The red “Stop Forrest Stop” sign is used to signal that a table needs service and the blue “Run Forrest Run” means that all is well. The ping-pong bat is the Dessert Menu.

We like these 2 dishes very much! Can you imagine Khai and I can finish all these?? haha

The 1st photo, it have 4 types of shrimps with chips. The cold shrimp are very fresh, all of shrimps in the plate taste great when you go with the special sauce.

The 2nd picture is my super favorite. Grill fish come with mash potatoes and shrimp. The nacho stick and the sauce is so Mexican!!! YUMMY

  • 1st Iranian Food Experience

Khai and I had our 1st Iranian food at NAAB – an original Arabian & Iranian restaurant in Bukit Bintang.

    “Welcome Drink” – Lime juice

Guess what is it??? – a touching story for the customer to read while we are waiting for the food.

“Dough” – a traditional Iranian drink. A bit salty, sour, its new taste for me!

    Tasty Iranian Kebab.

Iranian people don’t eat plain rice. They add salt, seasoning spices and butter in it.

The kebab look simple, but from the taste of it, I can imagine the preparation actually is quite complicated.

Well, Thanks for your recommendation, Ladan! Khai and I really enjoyed it!
